Tottenham Hotspur may be hoping that bringing Mauricio Pochettino back will help convince Harry Kane to stay.
They will seemingly be disappointed.
The Times report that Kane still wouldn’t want to stay at Tottenham even if Pochettino does arrive as the club’s next manager.
Kane had a strong relationship with Pochettino in their first stint together at Spurs, and some had wondered whether a reunion could prompt a U-turn from Kane.
He’s asked Daniel Levy to let him go this summer and fancies a move to Manchester City according to the report, with the Pochettino move unable to change his mind.
Spurs are pushing for Pochettino to come back to North London just months into his job with Paris Saint-Germain, but it’s far from certain that he will be back.
It’s stated that Kane believes Tottenham are way off winning trophies, and would need to sign players of a quality beyond Spurs’ budget.

Kane does admire Pochettino, but his fears over the transfer window and Tottenham’s inability to compete with the elite means he still wants to go.
Daniel Levy may still want to stand firm and keep hold of Kane, and it’s unclear whether any club really has the funds to convince Tottenham to sell their star man.
It sounds like Kane isn’t having his mind changed by Pochettino though, leaving Levy in quite the pickle.
