Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are on the verge of making a new managerial appointment.
According to a report in the Daily Record, Glasgow Rangers chiefs Stewart Robertson and Andrew Dickson have met with the Ibrox side’s players recently.
Rangers have been looking for a new manager for some time, following the departure of Mark Warburton.
Graeme Murty is currently in caretaker charge at Ibrox, and Rangers players have publicly said that they have been impressed by his management.
However, Rangers chiefs wanted to ensure that the squad knew that their search for a new permanent boss was coming to an end and told them in a meeting, which was arranged earlier this week.
Rangers are expected to announce Pedro Caixinha as their next boss in the near future.
Caixinha is likely to take over at Rangers after this weekend, with the two parties very close to reaching an agreement now.
Rangers have won three of the five matches which Murty has been in charge, but they remain in third place in the Scottish Premiership table.
Rangers’ next match is set to come against Celtic at Parkhead in the Scottish Cup.
