Well, Alfredo Morelos might well be leaving Rangers.

The Colombian marksman is heavily linked with a move to Lille and according to Sky Sports, personal terms have already been agreed between them and the Gers striker.

A report from The Daily Record this week indicated that Rangers wanted to pick up £20 million for their prized asset.

Last weekend it was looking like fairly imminent but The Scottish Sun has reported that Morelos won’t be leaving Ibrox for a minimum of two weeks.

The report claims that the transfer window in France only opens on August 15, suggesting he could leave anytime after that.

It’s very important that he isn’t sold before then, too.

With Jermain Defoe out with a hamstring injury, Steven Gerrard is going to need Morelos for the Premiership curtain raiser at Aberdeen this weekend.

Rangers badly need a fast and furious start to the season and Gerrard will be hoping that the 23-year-old can get them off to a good start, even if he knows he’s going.
