Yannick Bolasie has returned to Everton after a loan spell in the Championship.

According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Everton are thought to have told Yannick Bolasie that he still does not feature in Marco Silva’s plans and remains available for loan.

Bolasie seemed to surprise many this week by deciding to call time on his spell with Aston Villa. The Liverpool Echo reports that the Toffees had already decided this month not to use the recall option within the deal agreed with the Championship side.

But while Bolasie is hoping to turn his fortunes around at Goodison Park, it appears that he has plenty of hurdles still to clear.

The Echo reports that he has been told that he is not in the manager’s plans at the moment and remains on the market in case another side wishes to make a loan bid for the winger.

The 29-year-old had done relatively well in the second tier, with four goals and four assists coming in 21 appearances. He started just nine times in the league for Dean Smith’s side.

However, with the Echo suggesting that he is on £75,000-a-week wages, any interested side may need to take a gamble or hope that Everton are willing to cover some of the costs to leave the path clear to make a move happen this month.

And with Bolasie reportedly cancelling his loan himself, it would appear that he may need some convincing about leaving the Toffees for a second time this season.
