Report shares West Brom’s current plans for Tony Pulis

Tony Pulis appears to be coming under increasing pressure with West Bromwich Albion after a poor start to the season.

According to a report from the Express and Star, the West Brom board currently have no plans to make a change in the dug-out following their clash with Huddersfield Town this weekend, and plan to give Tony Pulis until Christmas to turn the Baggies’ fortunes around.

West Brom have made a poor start to the season. They currently sit 15th in the Premier League, but have not won a single game since beating Burnley on the second weekend of the season back in August.

Some of the fans have certainly turned on Pulis in recent times, with four draws and five defeats coming in their last nine games in all competitions.

But while some of the fans may want to see the former Stoke boss go, the Express and Star reports that the Baggies hierarchy currently plan to make no changes until Christmas, meaning that, as things stand, Pulis is set to remain in charge for the next few weeks at least.

The Express and Star reports that the number of new signings that the club made in the summer has contributed to the fact that Pulis will be given time to turn things around.

With Pulis seemingly quite an unpopular figure currently, some of the supporters may not be best pleased with the news that the board have no plans to make a change.

If their current form continues, January is going to be a massive month for the club as they may well be looking at a relegation battle in the Premier League.

And keeping faith with Pulis until Christmas may be a gamble as, if they do make a change at that stage, the new manager will have little time to make sufficient preparations for the window.
