Glasgow Rangers are reportedly interested in bringing Daniel Bachmann to Ibrox this summer.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard may have to look elsewhere if he wants to make a goalkeeper signing this summer, as a report from the Daily Record has explained what the plans for Daniel Bachmann are next season.
Bachmann recently told LAOLA1 that the Gers had been in contact with his representatives regarding a potential summer switch to Ibrox.
It would not be difficult to understand why Gerrard would be interested in the Austrian. The 24-year-old has enjoyed a superb season on loan with Kilmarnock, and it would not be surprising if Wes Foderingham was considering his Ibrox future having spent the campaign as Allan McGregor’s understudy.
However, it would appear that Rangers are set to be disappointed if they are indeed keen to land the goalkeeper. The Daily Record is reporting that his parent club Watford are set to offer Bachmann the chance to be involved in the first-team next term.

According to the Record, he is to get the chance to prove himself as Ben Foster’s understudy at Vicarage Road with Heurelho Gomes set to retire at the end of the season.
It would arguably not be a huge blow for Rangers to miss out on Bachmann if he does stay with his parent club next season. McGregor has enjoyed an outstanding year back at Ibrox, and Jak Alnwick is a very talented option if Foderingham does decide to leave.
