Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs are apparently very interested in Leicester City star James Maddison after his superb Premier League campaign.

Leicester City could price Tottenham Hotspur out of a move for in-demand playmaker James Maddison, according to Football London.
Maddison is emerging as one of the most coveted players in the Premier League after just one season at the King Power Stadium.
The former Norwich City talisman scored and assisted 14 goals in England’s top flight (scoring seven and assisting seven) while creating more chances (100) than anyone else in the division, including Eden Hazard, David Silva and Mo Salah.
Football London claims that Spurs have a ‘big interest’ in the England U21 star. But he could just be too expensive for the Champions League finalists. The Mirror claimed recently that Leicester value Maddison at £60 million.
Such a fee would require Spurs, who haven’t signed a player since January 2018, to obliterate their transfer record for the Coventry-born 22-year-old.

But that does not mean that a move can be totally ruled out. Christian Eriksen seems intent on leaving North London this summer and, should he join a European giant like Real Madrid, Tottenham will see their coffers swelled substantially.
And Maddison, boasting superb set piece delivery and the ability to shoot accurately from range, appears to have the perfect skill set to replace Eriksen in Mauricio Pochettino’s midfield.
