According to talkSPORT, Eddie Howe has ‘small concerns’ about the list of transfer targets Celtic have in mind for the summer.
It’s suggested that one of Howe’s main reservations is the list of potential signings that has so far been put forward to him.
A rough agreement has been in place for Howe to become Celtic’s new manager, but he wants his preferred staff in place and a bigger budget before finalising the deal.
Howe is still likely to take the job, and will likely have his own targets in mind – The Sun claimed in April that Howe would like Steve Cook and Josh King at Parkhead.
It’s a fascinating claim though, especially given that it’s unclear just who is putting forward this alleged list of targets.
Celtic don’t have a director of football in place, Head of Football Operations Nick Hammond has gone, and new chief executive Dominic McKay doesn’t have a football background.

So just who is suggesting the targets? John Kennedy? Peter Lawwell? The latter is leaving this summer and the former could go too.
With no director of football in place, it’s hard to imagine that Celtic have put together an extensive list of targets and given it to Howe.
Still, maybe the budget at Parkhead is a little smaller than hoped, and Howe will have to get creative in the summer window to chase down Rangers.
