Liverpool have spent a serious amount of cash over the past 18 months.

According to Bleacher Report, Liverpool owner John W. Henry has made a promise to back Jurgen Klopp in the transfer window this summer.
The Reds spent heavily over the past 18 months, bringing in Virgil van Dijk, Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri, but those moves were supplemented by the £142 million sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
It could be argued that Liverpool need to strengthen even further still this summer, however, if they want to win their first top flight title since 1990 next season.
Bleacher Report claims that John W. Henry has promised Klopp that he will back him in the transfer market, but the German does not actually want to spend too much money.
So where do Liverpool actually need to strengthen?
The Reds are currently really strong in pretty much every department but it could be argued that they need more competition for places in the final third, and more creativity and guile in the middle of the park.

French publication Le Progress claims that Liverpool are still after Nabil Fekir, whilst Portuguese newspaper Correio de Manha suggest that Klopp wants to bring Sporting Lisbon ace Bruno Fernandes to Anfield.
The Merseysiders are sound defensively, so it is unlikely that Klopp will bring in another centre-back this summer, but the addition of one or two attack-minded players really could make them untouchable next season.
