Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly hoping to sign Sardar Azmoun on loan.

According to a report from Sky Sports, Wolves and Rubin Kazan are in discussions over a loan deal for Sardar Azmoun, with seemingly the only sticking point centring around whether the Premier League side will have to make his move permanent in the summer or not.
The 24-year-old could well be one of Nuno Espirito Santo’s final signings of the January window after a campaign in which he has scored four goals and provided four assists in the top flight for Kazan.
Sky Sports reports that discussions between the two clubs could see Wolves pay £1.75 million to take the Iranian Messi on loan for the rest of the campaign, with a £11.4 million option included in the deal ahead of the summer.

Azmoun’s record this season is not one that jumps off the page. But at an initial £1.75 million, it could perhaps prove to be an inspired move, especially if they can avoid agreeing to being obliged to signing him permanently.
Raul Jimenez’s record before he arrived at Molineux was fairly ordinary. But he has unquestionably been a brilliant signing for Nuno’s men, and it would be a huge surprise if he did not extend his stay beyond his loan spell. Perhaps signing Azmoun could prove to be as smart a piece of business from the high-flyers.
