Whether intended to or not, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp dropped a big transfer hint this afternoon [HITC Sport].
The German manager left Nat Phillips out of his squad for the FA Cup visit to Brighton & Hove Albion.
This came two days after the Liverpool boss revealed that if offers came in for Phillips, the 25-year-old could go before Tuesday.
So this omission was particularly interesting, it has to be said.
Twenty minutes after the teams were released today, The Athletic dropped a report about the Liverpool powerhouse.

According to this publication, Galatasaray are leading the race to sign the Bolton-born player – valued at £10 million – this month.
The report – written by James Pearce – has added that although some Bundesliga outfits are keen, the league leaders in Turkey are favourites to nab him.
Phillips, labelled a ‘monster’ by Klopp a couple of years ago [BBC Sport], has been a big player at times during his Liverpool career.
Who can forget the second half of the 2020-21 campaign, when Phillips was a mainstay in a Reds defence which ultimately qualified for the Champions League despite some massive injuries.
The former Bournemouth loanee proved himself a wonderful defender then and, really, he deserves senior football on a regular basis, but he won’t get it under Klopp any longer unfortunately.
