Report shares result of Danny Rose’s scan, and when he is likely to return for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose could be back in action by the end of the month.

According to the London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is set to return for the clash against Manchester United later this month.

Rose, 27, missed nine months of 2017 with a knee injury suffered against Sunderland last January, and has been eased back into action.

The England international left back has now made nine appearances in all competitions this season, but concerns over his knee have arisen once again.

Rose was left out of the Spurs squad for games against Swansea City and West Ham United over the last week, and it seems that the injury which kept him out for most of 2017 has flared up again.

Now, the London Evening Standard report that the results of a scan show that Rose’s injury isn’t too serious, and he is aiming to return for the game against Manchester United on January 31^st.

That would be somewhat ironic given United’s lengthy pursuit of Rose, but the injury may actually ensure that Rose sees out the transfer window as a Tottenham player.

Ben Davies will feature as Tottenham’s primary left wing back in the meantime, and Rose will be hoping to make a swift recovery and once again challenge Davies for a starting role.
