Harry Kane suggested in an interview with Gary Neville this week that he may be worth up to £100 million to Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s been a turbulent week for the 27-year-old Tottenham striker, whose management are alleged to have leaked information about him wanting to leave the club in a move that has infuriated the North Londoners’ hierarchy, over the timing of the leak.
Kane, when speaking to Neville, suggested that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy may want to sell him if an offer of £100 million were to come in.
But the player himself is way off about his valuation.
That’s because Eurosport have reported that Levy is actually asking for closer to £200 million for the player’s signature, amid speculation about Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea circling.
Chelsea are said to be offering cash and a number of players in exchange for Kane.
But the Tottenham chairman is famed for being a very tough negotiator and with anyone else you could argue that he’s simply inflating his price on purpose, to stave off the suitors.
But with Levy, it’s very easy to see the Lilywhites pocketing close to £200 million for Kane – and it would be fair enough.
After all, he has scored or set up 48 goals from 48 games in all competitions this season, netting 32 and assisting 16.
He is an absolute machine and scarily, is only coming into the peak of his powers now.
