It’s suggested that the Manchester United loanee has communicated his demands, and they’re currently beyond West Ham.
The global pandemic has hit West Ham’s finances, and they’re current unable to commit to such an outlay over a lengthy period of time.
A deal to keep Lingard at West Ham is proving very difficult, and with United demanding a considerable too, the price of a permanent move keeps rising.
Lingard, 28, has excelled for West Ham with nine goals in 13 Premier League outings after failing to play a single minute of league action for United in the first half of the campaign.
Lingard has been loving life under David Moyes, firing himself back into England contention ahead of the European Championships – something nobody could have predicted in January.
The attacking midfielder would surely love to stay at West Ham rather than head back to United, where he was cast aside by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Yet with West Ham now set to miss out on Champions League football, they. may simply not have the money to fund a long-term deal for their 2021 sensation.
Another loan deal could be pursued though, and West Ham fans will just be hoping to see Lingard back in claret and blue somehow next season.
