West Ham United have taken Joe Hart on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

According to a report in the Telegraph, West Ham United will have to pay Manchester City £12 million, if they want to sign him next summer.

West Ham have snapped up Hart on loan for the season, after agreeing to cover his wages.

At the moment the deal is just a temporary fix for Hart, who has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium ever since Pep Guardiola took charge.

However, West Ham have expressed a desire to make the move a permanent one – if all works out.

And City are said to value the England international stopper at around £12 million.

Hart has a point to prove at West Ham, with his career taking a nosedive in recent times.

A shaky performance for England at the European Championships in 2016, was followed by a move to Torini last term, and Hart’s time in Italy wasn’t a roaring success.

Hart was error prone in Serie A, and now moves to West Ham looking to restore his reputation as England’s finest goalkeeper.

Hart will be in competition with Adrian and Darren Randolph for a place in goal at the London Stadium.
