Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool is a rumour that’s been floating around for a few weeks.
Le10 Sport reported last month that the Reds were interested in signing the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.
The French outlet even went as far as to suggest that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had spoken to Mbappe’s father about a switch to Anfield.
And now Le 10 Sport claim that the former Monaco gem is ‘very flattered’ about the speculation that the reigning European champions want to sign him.
However, the report adds that the only club Mbappe would leave PSG for is Real Madrid.
The reality is that there’s no hope of Mbappe going to Liverpool or Real anytime soon.
The global health crisis is hugely affecting clubs’ finances and nobody is going to be able to afford the couple of hundred million that PSG could demand for the France international.
Even before this happened, did Liverpool even need Mbappe? The likes of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino still have a lot left to offer Klopp, and signing replacements for either of those three shouldn’t be a priority right now.
