Rangers are reportedly looking to bring two centre backs to Ibrox this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Rangers are looking to bring two new centre backs to the club this summer after seeing David Bates depart for Hamburg.
The Gers are still looking to clinch second place in the Scottish Premiership table, and have renewed hope of doing just that after beating Hearts 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Qualifying for Europe would be a major boost for Rangers heading into the summer transfer window, and director of football Mark Allen already appears to be planning moves.
With Burnley’s Scott Arfield a target, the Daily Mail also report that Rangers are keen to sign new defenders, with Allen targeting two centre backs this summer.

Rangers will see defender David Bates leave for Hamburg this summer, and with Russell Martin only on loan and questions over the futures of both Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso, it’s no great surprise that Rangers are concerned about that area of the pitch.
If Rangers stay in Scotland for a target, then a host of options make sense; Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna, Hearts’ John Souttar and Motherwell’s Cedric Kipre would all provide an immediate boost whilst also possessing huge potential.
Allen may also look to options in England, with Swansea defender Kyle Bartley – formerly of Rangers – no doubt popular with fans, whilst Barnsley’s Liam Lindsay would also be a huge addition if the Gers can stump up the cash for the Scot.
