Tottenham Hotspur could move for Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips in January with at least three new signings wanted by Ange Postecoglou and co.
Tottenham enjoyed a dream start to the season but have now gone four games without a win.
Sunday’s 3-3 draw at Manchester City was encouraging after three straight defeats but it’s clear that Ange Postecoglou needs more squad depth.
Injuries have exposed Tottenham’s lack of depth and additional options are now needed in midfield and in defence.

Another midfielder seems imperative after seeing Rodrigo Bentancur go down with another injury problem.
Add in that James Maddison is injured and both Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr are heading to the Africa Cup of Nations and Spurs need options.
TEAMtalk now suggest that Tottenham are expected to make three signings in January – and Kalvin Phillips could be one of them.
The report claims that Tottenham are expected to ‘touch base’ over a January deal for Phillips.
The Telegraph claimed in October that Tottenham’s new technical director Johan Lange is a big fan of Phillips.

Lange recently came in from Aston Villa and Phillips quickly became one of the first rumoured targets as he gets down to work in North London.
The England international certainly needs to leave City in search of first-team football ahead of Euro 2024.
Signed from Leeds United for £45million in 2022, Phillips has played just 89 minutes of Premier League action this season.
Spurs could pounce but 90min claimed in November that Newcastle United are emerging as the top destination for Phillips.
The Magpies want another midfielder after losing Sandro Tonali to suspension, so Phillips could soon face a tough decision.
Now 28, Phillips simply has to move on next month and Tottenham would seemingly like him to be part of a triple January swoop to bolster Postecoglou’s squad.
