Report shares how long David Unsworth will be in charge of Everton’s team

Everton could leave David Unsworth in charge of their first-team for a considerable amount of time.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, David Unsworth could remain in charge at Everton for another two weeks.

Unsworth has been placed in temporary charge of the Toffees, after Ronald Koeman was sacked yesterday.

Unsworth has been in charge of Everton’s under-23 side, and has now been promoted to first-team duties.

The Toffees are still working on finding Koeman’s replacement, and they are said to have faith in Unsworth’s abilities.

As a result, Everton are expected to allow the former defender in charge for their match against Chelsea tomorrow evening and against Leicester at the weekend.

Unsworth could also be in charge next week, when Everton take on Lyon and Watford.

Everton are then hoping to put a manager in place over the international break, to give him time to work with the team on the training ground.

Everton are currently in 18th place in the Premier League table, and realise that a big improvement is needed following Koeman’s departure if they are to live up to expectations this season.
