Borussia Dortmund are prepared to offer Julian Brandt £120,000-a-week but the Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United target is tempted by the prospect of a fresh start in the Premier League.

That is according to BILD; one of the most in-form attacking midfielders in Europe weighing up his options as he closes in on the final 12 months of his contract at the Bundesliga challengers.

Sporting director Sebastien Kehl has made no secret of his desire to tie Brandt down to a new deal, the Germany international finally adding a consistent end product to his guile and vision.

“His development has been great. He’s much more stable, robust and present,” Kehl tells Ruhr Nachrichten. “He has always shown in phases that he’s a fantastic player. But now he shows it over a longer period of time.”

Brandt, BILD say, is likely to be offered an improved contract worth around £120,000-a-week.

Interest from Arsenal, Spurs and an upwardly-mobile Newcastle side could turn his head, however. Brandt, the report adds, is a ‘big fan of English football’ and has allegedly indicated that a fresh start in the Premier League ‘would definitely appeal to him’.

The £25 million-rated Brandt has been on Arsenal’s radar for a number of years, Fabrizio Romano tells Caught Offside. The league leaders appear to be prioritising an attacking midfielder this summer too; Brandt joining Gabri Veiga and Jesper Lindstrom on Mikel Arteta’s wishlist.

With nine goals, this is already Brandt’s joint-most prolific season as a Dortmund player. He also has a further five assists, named the Bundesliga’s Player of the Month twice in 2023 already.

“Jule, along with Jude Bellingham, has been our standout player so far this season,” BVB team-mate Nico Schlotterbeck tells Kicker. “He’s having an outstanding season.”

“Jule has developed extremely well this season,” adds head coach Edin Terzic. “He has been one of our most consistent players. He is always one of the hardest working players. And he is extremely important for us on the ball.”
