Steve Bruce brought Stephen Clemence with him to Aston Villa from Hull City.

According to a report in the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa first-team coach Stephen Clemence has made a good impression on the Midland side’s players.

Clemence has been brought to Villa by Steve Bruce to help out with training.

And Villa’s players are said to have taken well to Clemence’s methods already, with the former Hull City coach settling in well in his new surroundings.

Clemence was one of the the first additions that Bruce made to his coaching staff at Villa, but it is believed that more staff members could be added in the near future.

Villa want to bring in a new number two, with Paul Trollope reportedly interviewed for the role recently.

The claret and blues are still unbeaten under Bruce’s guidance, with the 55-year-old boss making an instant impact after taking charge.

Ville are next in action on Friday evening, when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.
