Newcastle United are currently attracting the attentions of Chinese businessmen.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley is willing to sell a part share of the club to help increase his side’s transfer budget.
Newcastle have interest from China, with a consortium looking to buy a share in the club.
Ashley does not believe he will be able to sell his full share, as nobody will pay his £400 million valuation of Newcastle.

However, Ashley is willing to part company with a share of the Magpies, should an offer come in.
Rafael Benitez has reportedly been informed of the interest in investment at Newcastle.
The Spanish boss’s job is not believed to be under threat, due to the potential changes at boardroom level.

If Newcastle are backed by Chinese investors, then it could increase the North East side’s budget this summer.
Newcastle are known to be wanting to make a number of additions over the coming weeks, but they have only brought in one new player to date.
