Celtic striker Moussa Dembele’s future remains a top of discussion ahead of the January transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton have question marks over Celtic striker Moussa Dembele’s fitness – and Brighton fear that West Ham United may join them in the race for his signature.

Dembele, 21, was a bargain signing for Celtic in the summer of 2016, joining the Bhoys after his contract with Fulham expired.

With 40 goals in 69 appearances for Celtic, Dembele has been a sensation in Scotland, and his exploits have unsurprisingly attracted major interest in his signature during the last two transfer windows.

Dembele’s future is again a hot topic ahead of the January transfer window, with Premier League clubs seemingly battling for his signature.

The Daily Mail report that Brighton and Hove Albion remain keen, but are fearing that West Ham United will swoop in and hijack them during the upcoming transfer window.

It’s stated that, whilst West Ham aren’t exactly in the market for a new centre forward right now, manager David Moyes is a huge fan of the Celtic hitman, and Brighton are wary that they may enter the race.

Another club who have looked at Dembele is Everton, though it’s claimed that they have concerns over the striker’s fitness, and will be pursuing Besiktas hitman Cenk Tosun instead.

Celtic will hope that they can keep Dembele until the end of the season, but Premier League clubs are lurking – and a move in 2018 seems inevitable at some stage.
