Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez is eager to bring in new players to ensure they have the quality to compete at the top level.

According to a report in the Chronicle, Rafael Benitez is planning seven new signings at Newcastle United this summer.
Newcastle reportedly have £100 million to spend on upgrades to their current squad over the coming months.
And Benitez is planning to improve most areas of his squad, to ensure Newcastle are ready to make an impact back at Premier League level.

Newcastle have not come back to the top tier to be involved in a relegation battle, with the North East side having ambitions to challenge much higher up the table.
The Magpies reportedly want a centre-back, a left and central midfielder and two strikers – as well as two other squad players – as they aim to improve their team.

Already Newcastle have been linked with a host of players in the build up to the new season.
Manchester City’s Fernando and Yaya Toure are the latest players to be linked with a move to St. James’ Park (Daily Mirror).
