Newcastle United are said to have around £100 million to spend in the summer.

According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, Mike Ashley wants Newcastle United to have their signings completed early on in the summer.
Ashley met with Rafael Benitez yesterday, and agreed terms with the Spanish boss which convinced him to commit his future to the Tyneside club.

Benitez has now ended speculation that he could leave St. James’ Park, and plans are already underway for what Newcastle need for next season.
The Magpies are set to invest around £100 million in their first-team squad, as Benitez looks to improve his options.
And Ashley is said to be working hard to get Newcastle’s new additions in as quickly as possible.

The Magpies do not want to be wanting until deadline day to secure their additions.
Instead, Ashley wants to allow Benitez to have all his new additions in place for pre-season, to give them time to bed in.
Newcastle are expected to be extremely active in the summer, with every area of the squad likely to be upgraded.
