Newcastle United’s takeover bid is on the verge of going through.

Staveley is said to be on the verge of taking over from Mike Ashley at St. James’ Park, but there is still some terms that the businesswoman wants finalising before she agrees to completing the deal.
A key condition that Staveley has demanded is reportedly that Benitez is kept on as manager.

Newcastle have been in poor form of late, after failing to win any of their last nine matches, and some criticism has been directed the Spanish boss’s way.
Although there is a realisation that Newcastle’s squad is limited, some of Benitez’s decision have come into question.

However, Staveley is said to have full faith in Benitez being able to turn things around for the Tynesiders.
Newcastle are currently in the Premier League’s relegation zone, after losing 1-0 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in their most recent match.
