According to the Mirror, Tyrick Mitchell has agreed a new contract with Crystal Palace amid interest from London rivals Arsenal.
The Gunners were eyeing a new left-back in January, and also considered a move for Mitchell’s teammate Patrick van Aanholt as the Mirror add.
Now, the Dutchman looks likely to be the only left-back they could snatch from Selhurst Park, as the 21-year-old has agreed a new deal.
Mitchell has shone for the Eagles so far this season, breaking into Roy Hodgson’s first-team after a few cameo appearances last term.
The former Brentford prospect has made 12 Premier League appearances for the south Londoners this term.
Additionally, his tackling has caught the eye, drawing comparisons to another Palace academy graduate in Aaron Wan-Bissaka as the Mirror mention.

As WhoScored shows, Mitchell averages an impressive 3.6 tackles per game in England’s top-flight this season.
The Palace No.27 also makes 2.6 clearances per game.
He would’ve been a fine signing for Arsenal, but surely an expensive one as the Eagles wouldn’t want to lose him.

In our view, Mikel Arteta should target Van Aanholt, if he’s looking for a cheap backup to Kieran Tierney.
The Dutchman’s contract expires in June, and he is yet to put pen to paper on fresh terms.
In that respect, surely it would be worth the Gunners enquiring about his situation as soon as possible, just in case he does renew before they can make contact.
