DeAndre Yedlin has received a ‘serious offer’ from the MLS, according to a report.

SBI report that an unnamed team in the Eastern Conference of the MLS are interested in bringing the Newcastle defender home.

Yedlin hasn’t been a regular at Newcastle in recent seasons and the £30k-a-week player’s [Spotrac] contract is due to expire in the summer.

That perhaps hints that his time could be coming to an end at St James’ Park because there doesn’t seem to be any talk of extending his contract.

Newcastle could, of course, hold onto the player until his current deal runs out.

But they could also make money from his potential transfer by letting him go this month.

It will be interesting to see how this situation pans out with the American speedster, who joined Newcastle from Spurs four years ago.

Given that Yedlin isn’t a key first-team player, the likely chance is that he won’t be wearing the Toon Army colours by the time the next season kicks off.

Either way, both Newcastle and the player himself have some big decisions to make.
