Shamal George will reportedly join Swindon Town after leaving Liverpool.

Shamal George will leave Liverpool in the summer transfer window and join Swindon Town, according to The Daily Mail.

It has been reported that George will end his 10-year association with Liverpool this summer and switch to Swindon in League Two.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has never played a first-team competitive game for the Reds – who will allow him to leave Anfield on a free transfer, but want a sell-on clause in case he moves up the leagues again, according to the report.

Good decision?

George is a good and promising young goalkeeper, and it would make sense for him to leave Liverpool this summer.

With Alisson going strong for the Reds at the moment, it is hard to see the 21-year-old Englishman establish himself in manager Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup anytime soon.

If George gets to play regular first-team football for Swindon in League Two in the coming years, then he could earn a move to clubs in the Championship or in the Premier League.
