La Liga side Sevilla are interested in trying to lure Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino away from the Premier League.

A report in the Daily Mirror has suggested that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is being lined up by Sevilla as a potential candidate to succeed Jorge Sampaoli if the latter decides to become Argentina boss in the near future.
The Mirror reports that Sampaoli is in line to return to international football one year after he left Chile, and Sevilla are hoping to target Pochettino if the vacancy comes up.
Spurs fans need not worry it seems, as the Mirror adds that while former Espanyol boss Pochettino would like to return to Spain at some stage in the future, he is unlikely to see the appeal of trading Tottenham for the side who sit fourth in the top flight.
The news is surely unlikely to distract Pochettino given that Tottenham’s season is far from over. Spurs face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend, before tackling their final six league games, and potentially an FA Cup final.
The weekend’s results – Tottenham beat Bournemouth 4-0 while Chelsea lost away at Manchester United – have meant that the title race is now far from over with just four points separating the top two, so Pochettino has certainly got enough on his plate to think about.
And it would hardly be a surprise if he switches his attention to Tottenham’s summer targets the moment the season comes to an end, rather than possibly taking the Sevilla job.
