Manchester City’s Jesus Navas has been linked with former club Sevilla.
According to the Mirror (live transfer thread, August 8th 2016 at 15:55), Sevilla are keen on re-signing Manchester City’s Jesus Navas.
The report claims that the arrival of Leroy Sane is expected to push Navas down the pecking order at City, and despite a frustrating pre-season campaign former side Sevilla are plotting a move to bring him in.
The Spain international is a Sevilla academy graduate and rose through the ranks at the club, making his debut in the 2003-04 campaign and helped the club lift their first UEFA Cup title two years later.
His enjoyed great success in Andalusia, both for club and country before making the move to City in the summer 2013 after plenty of speculation over his future.
Navas has gone on to make 99 Premier League appearances over the past three seasons, helping the Citizens win the title in 2014 and also bagging two League Cup successes.
However, his apparent lack of end product has often frustrated supporters, and there were times last season where it appeared patience was running out despite his impressive endeavour and hard work.
Newly-appointed boss Pep Guardiola will want to make changes at City, and the addition of Leroy Sane from Schalke will no doubt see the former Sevilla man limited to a part role should he remain at the club.
