Newcastle United’s takeover is now in ‘turmoil’, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
The worrying update confirms fears among Newcastle supporters that the deal may not go through.
Newcastle have been waiting for months for their potential Saudi-owners to be green-lighted by the Premier League, but approval has still not been forthcoming.
And the Mirror’s update suggests that there are now serious doubts whether Newcastle’s takeover will go ahead.
Almost every update so far has suggested that everyone involved with the Newcastle takeover had confidence that the deal would go through.
However, the Mirror’s latest report on the deal suggests that the deal is now ‘struggling’.

The Premier League reportedly have concerns over piracy issues, which are putting obstacles in the way of the deal being completed.
If the takeover does fall through now it would be a huge disappointment to Newcastle supporters.
The Saudi-group appear to have hugely ambitious plans for the Magpies, with some big name players and managers linked with a move to the North East club, which has sparked great excitement on Tyneside.
And if the bid falls through in the final stages, then there is sure to be a great deal of frustration felt from all corners of St. James’ Park.
