Newly promoted Italian side SPAL 2013 are considering a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini after winning the Serie B title.
Reports from Italian publication, La Nuova Ferrera, suggest that ahead of their return to the top flight the club are looking to sign a new stopper and have turned their attention to Gollini.

The 22-year-old has been on-loan at Atalanta since January after signing an 18-month loan deal with the Serie A club, but the Birmingham Mail says that could come under scrutiny this summer after he’s struggled for game time in 2016/17.
Gollini was allowed to leave Villa Park by Steve Bruce after Sam Johnstone was signed from Manchester United, but played just four times over the rest of the campaign after returning to his home country.
Bruce is keen to bring Johnstone back for the upcoming term, therefore leaving scope for the Italian to leave and SPAL could be his next destination.

Gianluca Di Marzio says that the Serie B champions have also been keeping tabs on Leeds United ‘keeper Marco Silvestri, who himself was limited to just six appearances in the cup for the Whites over the last 12 months.
It now remains to be seen which Championship player SPAL target as they prepare to play in Serie A for the first time in 50 years.
