Rangers are reportedly keen on Norwich City winger Sergi Canos.
According to The Express, Norwich City winger Sergi Canos is aware of interest from Rangers – but wants to fight for his place at Carrow Road rather than head up to Glasgow.
Rangers are looking for a creative midfielder in the January transfer window as Niko Kranjcar has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a major knee injury, and a host of names have already been linked with moves to Ibrox.

Now though, another name has been suggested, and it’s one who was linked with Rangers over the summer, as Norwich Cty ace Sergi Canos is believed to be back on the Rangers radar.
Back in May, The Independent reported that winger Canos was looking to leave Liverpool, and Rangers were hoping to land him along with fellow Reds youngster Jordan Rossiter. Whilst the latter did make the move to Ibrox, Canos chose to join Norwich City in a deal which could amount to £4.5million (BBC Sport).
Sergi Canos celebrates scoring for Brentford
Having impressed on loan at Brentford last season with seven goals and four assists, 19-year-old playmaker Canos was tipped for a big role at Norwich, but he’s featured in just three Championship games for Norwich this season, adding up to just 103 minutes of league action.
Now, The Express report that Rangers are again interested in landing Canos, this time on oan, and whilst the player has been made aware of Mark Warburton’s interest, he wants to fight for his place at Norwich.
With manager Alex Neil under pressure, Canos may yet have a chance to impress a new boss in the near future, and whilst he’s frustrated with his lack of first-team football at Carrow Road, he would prefer to stay with Norwich rather than head to Glasgow.
That may be something of a blow for Rangers, but Warburton should attempt to call on Rangers’ recruitment chief Frank McParland for help in convincing Canos to make a loan switch to Ibrox.
McParland was Academy Director at Liverpool when Canos traded Barcelona for Anfield, and whilst McParland left the Reds just a few months after Canos’ arrival, he will have played a big part in the youngster’s move to Merseyside – and he may look to play a part in helping land Canos again in 2017 as Rangers eye January reinforcements.
