According to the Daily Mail, Burnley boss Sean Dyche is ready to leave the club after a breakdown in his relationship with chairman Mike Garlick.
It’s claimed that Dyche’s relationship with Garlick may be ‘fractured beyond repair’, having failed to agree contract extensions for senior players.
Dyche has also been told there is little money to spend this summer, so is now believed to be plotting a move away after nearly eight years in the job at Turf Moor.
The former Watford boss has won two promotions in charge of Burnley and even guided them into Europe, meaning he will attract major interest.
The report claims that Crystal Palace and West Ham United have wanted Dyche in the past. Roy Hodgson’s advancing years may put Dyche on their radar again, whilst West Ham would make sense.
David Moyes’ second spell in charge isn’t going so well, and West Ham are in danger of suffering relegation. Either way, Dyche should be on their radar this summer.
The report adds that Aston Villa and Bournemouth would both want to speak to Dyche if they suffer relegation and make managerial changes this summer.
Burnley are allegedly aware of Dyche’s frustration, and it would be disappointing to see him drop into the Championship again having done such a great job with Burnley for so long.
Dyche deserves a Premier League job rather than dropping down a division, but he may simply feel the time is right to move on.
