Edu has secured a very interesting move at Arsenal by signing scout Toni Lima following his decision to leave Spanish side Alaves.
That’s according to SPORT in Spain, who claim that Lima has completed a move to Arsenal having left Alaves one year early for ‘personal reasons’.
Lima earned 64 caps with Andorra as a player, but it’s as a scout where Lima has really made a huge name for himself.
Lima has worked closely with the Brazilian national team in the past, and is credited with recommending Neymar to Barcelona and Philippe Coutinho to Inter Milan.
The 50-year-old has previously worked with Inter and even Manchester United, whilst he coached with Brazil at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Lima is allegedly being brought in to manage the Spanish market for Arsenal, and will work closely with Edu to identify signings.

Coutinho is regularly linked with Arsenal, and you do have to wonder whether Lima would recommend such a move to Edu before the transfer deadline.
Beyond that though, Lima would be expected to unearth some gems in Spain and continue to build on a strong reputation in the scouting community.
