Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell and Dundee United are chasing a deal to bring Queen’s Park Rangers keeper Liam Kelly back to Scotland, according to a report.

The keeper, who spent time on loan at Motherwell last season after losing his place to Seny Dieng midway through the season.

With two years left on his contract at QPR, any move for the former Rangers and Livingston keeper may have to be a loan.

A return to Fir Park would seem the more likely of the two, although a move to Tannadice and a fight with Benjamin Siegrist for the gloves at Dundee United would be an intriguing battle.

The 25-year-old would be an excellent addition to either squad though so it will be interesting to see where, if anywhere, he ends up.

R’s boss Mark Warburton is a big fan of Kelly, having worked with him at Ibrox before signing him for QPR so the Englishman may want to keep Kelly in London – although the keeper has told them he’d rather move on if he isn’t going to feature regularly.

His time at Fir Park last season was a big success, winning Motherwell’s Players’ Player of the Year award – despite only joining the Steelmen in January.
