According to The Sun, Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing Derby County goalkeeper Scott Carson this summer.

After finishing 14 points adrift of the play-offs, Blackburn will be targeting major reinforcements this summer, whilst hoping to keep star playmaker Bradley Dack.

Rovers have used David Raya as their first-choice goalkeeper this season, but Tony Mowbray’s side could look to make a chance this summer.

The Sun report that they want Joe Hart from bitter rivals Burnley, but are also considering a move to bring Derby’s Carson to Ewood Park.

It’s claimed that Carson is considering leaving Derby this summer having lost his place in Frank Lampard’s line-up, and Blackburn may offer him an escape route.

Kelle Roos has taken over Carson’s role between the sticks for Derby, and the ex-England international faces sitting on the bench throughout the play-offs.

Unsurprisingly, the 33-year-old would instead be keen on playing first-team football elsewhere at this late stage in his career, and Derby may be keen to get his wages off the books.
