Celtic look set to push through a permanent move for goalkeeper Scott Bain.

According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are earmarking Scott Bain for a permanent move to Celtic Park this summer when his loan deal ends.
Bain, 26, started the season with Dundee where he has been impressing since a 2014 move from Alloa Athletic, but joined Hibernian on January 1st, penning a loan deal until the end of the season.
That deal was cancelled later that month in order to allow Bain to sign for Celtic, who took over the loan deal until the end of the season as they needed to replace the injured Craig Gordon.

Bain initially started his Celtic career behind Dorus de Vries, but started in the 3-2 Old Firm derby win over Rangers earlier this month, and also kept a clean sheet against Motherwell last week.
With his Dundee contract set to expire this summer, Bain can move on for free, and The Scottish Sun recently claimed that Birmingham City, Bristol City, Hibernian and Hearts are all interested in signing him this summer.
However, it’s believed that Celtic are preparing to land Bain permanently, with manager Brendan Rodgers keen to snap him up on a free transfer.

Whilst Bain has only made two appearances for Celtic, Rodgers clearly feels that he is worth keeping around, especially given that he would be arriving with no transfer fee.
Bain may not be the long-term heir to Gordon in the Celtic goal, but he offers solid cover at the very least, and could be second choice next season given that De Vries turns 38 this year.
