Bastian Schweinsteiger could leave Manchester United for as little as €2.5 million, with Juventus, AC Milan, Inter Milan and the MLS possible destinations.
Schweinsteiger has not been attending first-team training all summer
Schweinsteiger signed for United for €9 million last summer, but after one season with the club new manager Jose Mourinho seems keen to offload the veteran for a reduced fee, with a move to Italy or the USA the most likely, reports Sport Bild.
There have been reports throughout the summer that Mourinho has ignored Schweinsteiger from his first-team plans completely, with the 120 times-capped midfielder having spent most of his time with the U23s.
Raymond Baard, a leading figure within FIFPro, even stated that Mourinho’s treatment of the 32-year-old was tantamount to bullying and that the manager should be put in jail, although he has since apologised for those remarks.

The Bayern Munich legend made 31 appearances for United last season, although he was also hampered by a knee injury towards the end of the campaign.
He has also recently been linked with a move to Celtic in the Glasgow Evening Times, though manager Brendan Rodgers has ruled out such a move, declaring that he has no interest in a “marquee signing that can’t run”.
Two seasons ago Schweinsteiger was a World Cup-winner, now he’s an unwanted man
If Schweinsteiger isn’t sold, he could seek a severance package of £17 million, reports the Daily Star, or he would simply continue to receive his £200,000 per week wage despite sitting in the stands all season.
But for such a small fee, Schweinsteiger could prove to be a bargain for any big club and a move away from Old Trafford may soon be on the cards.
