Sandro Ramirez is set to become Everton’s third major signing of the summer, following the arrival of Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen.

Everton were reportedly in talks with Malaga over a proposed £5.2 million deal for the former Barcelona striker last weekend.

According to Click Liverpool & Daily Star, Sandro is now set to become an Everton player in the next 48 hours after successfully completing his medical.

The news has been confirmed by The Daily Mail’s Dominic King, and The Times’ most reliable Merseyside correspondent, Paul Joyce.

At one point of time it seemed that Sandro would move to Atletico Madrid. The Rojiblancos were interested in the 21-year-old, but FIFA’s transfer ban on them allowed Everton to regain the pole position.

Sandro has enjoyed a great 2016/17 campaign for Malaga, with a fantastic scoring (16 goals) record. His move will take Everton’s spending spree to £60 millions.

The report also added that the Toffees will now turn their attention towards securing deals for Burnley’s high rated defender Michael Keane and Swansea playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson.
