Everton’s Sandro Ramirez is set to join Sevilla in the next 24 hours.
Everton have tonight confirmed on their official website that Sandro Ramirez has returned to Spain in order to join Sevilla on loan for the rest of the season.
Sandro, 22, was on the books with Barcelona before a 2016 move to Malaga, where he hit 14 goals in 30 La Liga appearances last season, triggering huge interest.
A number of clubs wanted to sign Sandro over the summer, but it was Everton and Ronald Koeman who won the race for his signature after activating his £5.2million release clause.
Fans were excited about his arrival, but Sandro was struggled to make an impact, as he has started just six games in all competitions and scored only once.
The Spaniard has played just 46 minutes of Premier League action since Sam Allardyce’s appointment in November, and he is now heading out of Goodison Park.
Everton have tonight confirmed that Sandro is joining Sevilla, and will pen a loan deal until the end of the season ahead of a medical inside the next 24 hours.
The Liverpool Echo report that the fee involved in a loan deal is £2million, giving Everton a small return on their investment, and they may hope that Sandro puts himself in the shop window during his return to La Liga.
