Sampdoria have reportedly confirmed their interest with an official bid for the West Ham United midfielder.

Obiang appears to be heading towards the London Stadium exit this summer, with Gianluca Di Marzio reporting earlier this week that a deal for the Spaniard was close to being completed three years after he left the Italian outfit.
And it appears that a move has potentially edged closer, with Gianluca Di Marzio now reporting that an £8 million offer plus additional bonuses has been lodged for the 26-year-old midfielder and a five-year deal is ready to be signed if the Irons accept Sampdoria’s bid.
It is not clear whether West Ham would be willing to accept the offer that is on the table, but it certainly does appear that Obiang’s time with the Hammers is about to come to an end this summer.

Selling Obiang may perhaps be a disappointment for some of the West Ham fans. On his day, he has looked extremely impressive and few will ever forget his stunning goal at Wembley against Tottenham last season.
However, Manuel Pellegrini’s men have been incredibly busy this summer and appear to be striving towards a new chapter in their history – and it appears that the Chilean does not see the midfielder in his plans for the coming campaign.
