Giuseppe Bellusci is wanted by Sampdoria.
Leeds United’s Giuseppe Bellusci
Serie A side Sampdoria have emerged as surprise candidates to sign Giuseppe Bellusci, Tuttomercatoweb report.
Sampdoria finished 15th in Italy’s top tier last season, and are looking to strengthen ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Bellusci signed at Leeds United two seasons ago, and has had a mixed time of it, having a difficult relationship with supporters.
Despite playing well early last season, the centre-back’s form took a dip later into the campaign, responsible for key mistakes including the one which led to them losing to Rotherham.

He was taken out of the team by head coach Steve Evans, and ended the season as third choice centre-back behind Sol Bamba and Liam Cooper.
It would not be a surprise to see Bellusci pushing for a move, and the chance to play in Serie A again, where he previouslt featured for Catania, is likely to appeal.

It is unclear at present whether Leeds would sanction a move, with their head coach situation for next season still decided.
Allowing Bellusci to move on could provide useful funds for which to bolster the side heading into the transfer window, with the club’s current budget unclear.
