West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang is reportedly close to joining Sampdoria in the summer transfer window.

Obiang started his professional club football career at Sampdoria and played for the Italian club until 2015 before joining West Ham for a transfer fee reported by The London Evening Standard to be worth £4.3 million.
Bad move for West Ham United?
Obiang is a good midfielder and has done well for West Ham for the past three seasons.
The 26-year-old former Spain Under-21 international made 18 starts in the Premier League last season and 21 in the league during the 2016-17 campaign.
The performances of the midfielder – who earns £55,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – have been encouraging, and perhaps West Ham should keep hold of the Spaniard for one more season.

Busy summer transfer window
West Ham have been quite busy in the summer transfer window and have made a number of signings so far.
Among the players the Hammers have recruited are Jack Wilshere, Issa Diop and Felipe Anderson.
