Report: Sam Byram edging closer to permanent West Ham United exit

Nottingham Forest reportedly want Sam Byram of West Ham United.

According to The Nottingham Post, Sam Byram is set to leave West Ham United in the summer transfer window on a permanent basis amid interest from Nottingham Forest.

Byram has reportedly been offered by West Ham as part of a deal to sign Venezuela international striker Solomon Rondon from West Bromwich Albion this summer.

It has also been claimed that Martin O’Neill wanted to bridging the former Leeds United defender back to the City Ground this summer prior to his departure.

The 25-year-old right-back spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Forest from Premier League club West Ham, but he had injury issues and was able to just six appearances in the Championship for the Reds, according to WhoScored.

Leaving West Ham United

Byram has been on the books of West Ham since January 2016 when he joined from Leeds, but the right-back has had injury problems and has yet to establish himself in the first team at the London Stadium.

It will not come as a surprise if West Ham decide to part company with Byram this summer.
