Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is reportedly plotting a reunion with Diafra Sakho.

According to the Daily Mail, Sunderland are preparing a £10m move for Diafra Sakho as they attempt to reunite the West Ham striker with Sam Allardyce.
The Black Cats managed to avoid relegation this past season after a fine end to the season under Allardyce, but after years of hovering precariously above the trap door to the Championship, it’s time for Sunderland to invest and pull away from the drop.

Not only did Allardyce impress with his results, but his January signings – Lamine Kone, Jan Kirchhoff and Wahbi Khazri – all played huge parts for Sunderland, and he’s now set to be backed with more money.
However, it could be an old face that Allardyce goes for, as the Daily Mail report that Allardyce wants a Wearside reunion with West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho.

The 26-year-old worked under Allardyce at West Ham last season, scoring 12 goals in 26 games before playing a much reduced role under Slaven Bilic this term.
Many now expect the Senegal international to leave East London this summer, especially with West Ham searching for a new striker themselves, and Sakho could be offered an escape route by his former boss.

The report claims that Sunderland and Allardyce are plotting a £10m bid for Sakho in an attempt to take him to the North East, and having thrived under Allardyce last season, Sakho may well be willing to make the move and play more first-team football, potentially forming a dangerous partnership with another ex-West Ham striker, Jermain Defoe.
