According to a report in The Telegraph, Sam Allardyce now expects Robert Snodgrass to become his first signing as West Brom manager.
The 28-time Scotland international has been heavily linked with a move to the Hawthorns this month, and now it seems as though the Baggies are close to landing their man.
Snodgrass will join West Brom with bags of Premier League experience to his name, and with Sam Allardyce being a big fan of Snodgrass for quite some time, we can only imagine that the Baggies boss has big plans for the left-footer.
Indeed, Allardyce has tried to sign Snodgrass before on two occasions, once in 2017 and once in 2013, and it seems as though he’s finally going to get the chance to work with the Scot.
With Snodgrass putting out a tweet on Wednesday all but confirming he’s on his way out of the Hammers, we may see confirmation on this transfer sooner rather than later.

Snodgrass is famed for his incredible set-piece delivery, racking up plenty of goals and assists from corners and free-kicks over the years, and with Allardyce’s teams being famed for goals from these types of situations, this is a signing that could elevate the Baggies’ attacking output.
It seems as though West Brom fans should be keeping their eyes peeled for any updates on this one as an announcement could be imminent.
