Newcastle United’s Allan Saint-Maximin may be persuaded to stay at St. James’ Park if Steve Bruce can sign Joe Willock from Arsenal on a permanent transfer.

The Telegraph say that Willock has become Newcastle’s top target and that is hardly surprising, given the huge impact that he has made since arriving on loan from the Emirates Stadium.

Willock has scored in his last six appearances for Newcastle, and it is claimed that his arrival could convince Saint-Maximin to stay.

The French winger has publicly spoke about wanting to see Newcastle show some ambition to progress.

That has led to concerns that he could leave in the coming weeks.

However, the signing of Willock would apparently be enough to make the trickster commit his future to the club.

That update just makes the signing of Willock look even more appealing to Bruce’s side.

Saint-Maximin is the star turn in their team, with his dribbling skills a major weapon.

And if Newcastle could have Willock and Saint-Maximin linking up on a long-term basis then they would be well set for success in the future.
