The West Bromwich Albion striker is close to completing a move to Stoke City.
West Bromwich Albion’s Saido Berahino in action
Stoke City have offered Saido Berahino a huge £70,000-per-week to lure him from West Bromwich Albion, reports the Mirror.
The striker is reportedly close to a move to Mark Hughes’s side after they agreed on a £16million fee for his services.
The Baggies had initially rejected a £15 million offer for the striker earlier this week but a lack of interest from elsewhere saw the deal re-kindled at £16 million.

And it transpires that it has taken a huge wage offer to lure him to the recently renamed bet365 stadium, with the Mirror reporting he sign a long term deal earning £70,000-per-week.
That will see him more than double his current wages of around £25,000-per-week (Daily Star) and simultaneously become the highest paid Potters star too, trumping Xherdan Shaqiri who currently earns £65,000-per-week (Daily Star).
Stoke manager Mark Hughes
It is certainly a bold move from manager Mark Hughes, who is clearly keen to see his side take a further step forward in their development under his leadership.
His side are in need of a striker and the Welshman will be hoping that Berahino can justify his wage packet next season as they eye European qualification.
